How the next buy level is calculated
When there is no open buy position, NuxGrid starts with the current market price. After a buy position exists, the next candidate is calculated below the last open buy using the configured spacing percentage.
NuxGrid places the next buy level a set percentage below the last buy. For example, with 2% spacing, the next level is calculated about 2% lower. NuxGrid can skip a candidate when it conflicts with an existing buy or an active take-profit sell. A buy that is already being submitted, tracked, or partially filled is not moved to a new level.
What happens when a buy fills
When a buy becomes filled, NuxGrid creates a related take-profit sell for the executed quantity. The sell is not necessarily placed at “the next grid level”. It is based primarily on the original buy level and the effective take-profit rate.
The effective rate considers the configured target and a conservative fee break-even calculation. Before submitting the sell, NuxGrid checks the expected buy cost, sell proceeds, and sell fee. If the projected result is not positive, the sell is blocked.
What happens when price rises or falls
If price rises above the next lower buy candidate, that buy is not triggered. Existing sell orders continue to be tracked.
If price falls, NuxGrid can create progressively lower candidates. There is no fixed bottom level, but every new buy still depends on available quote balance and the order-spacing rules. If the account does not have enough available quote currency, the buy remains blocked.
Price rises ↑
- The next lower buy remains pending.
- Existing sells continue to be tracked.
Price falls ↓
- New buy candidates can be calculated progressively lower.
- Each buy depends on available capital and spacing rules.
Fees and capital
Purchase amount, spacing, take-profit rate, fee settings, and precision are separate strategy parameters. Fees affect both the cost of a buy and the proceeds from a sell, so a visible price movement is not automatically net profit.
A completed sell represents a completed grid cycle. Open positions and their current market value are separate from realized cycle profit.
What the strategy does not guarantee
NuxGrid’s grid rules do not predict Bitcoin’s direction. They do not guarantee that price will return to a previous level, that every buy will be sold at a profit, or that repeated oscillation will continue. A falling market can leave capital in open positions, while a rising market can leave lower buy candidates untriggered.
