How does a grid bot work?
A simple, structured strategy
The bot prepares buys and sells according to rules. NuxGrid calculates its next buy levels using percentage spacing, then links a take-profit sell to each filled buy. New buys depend on available capital and existing orders, among other checks.
- Spacing is calculated as a percentage
- Each filled buy receives a take-profit sell
- No fixed range or predefined number of levels
Trading runs on your machine
The Connector runs the trading process and tracks orders with the exchange. The web console configures and monitors strategies. Closing your browser does not automatically stop the bot: the Connector machine and its connection must remain operational.
The grid engine runs locally. NuxGrid.com is used to configure, control and monitor the strategy.
- Decrypted exchange keys remain on the Connector machine.
- Funds remain on the selected exchange.
- NuxGrid has no withdrawal function.
Test before running
A backtest shows what a configuration would have done during a past period under the simulator’s assumptions. Look at final equity, open positions, fees and maximum drawdown. Historical results do not predict future returns.

Before you start
A grid bot does not predict the market. A prolonged decline can tie up capital in open positions and cause losses. Profitable cycles do not mean that your whole portfolio is profitable.
